The Common Place: A Charlotte Mason Gathering
Meeting Location: Rotating locations in Utah County, contact community leader
Contact: Vanessa Stanfill
Community Description: We are a community of like-minded homeschooling women in Utah County who meet monthly to study Charlotte Mason educational philosophy.
We meet the first Wednesday of each month from 7:00 to 8:30 PM, although lingering in friendship is welcome! Our current reading is Charlotte Mason’s sixth volume, Toward a Philosophy of Education.
You are welcome to come visit and enjoy our gathering! If you decide to join us, we ask that you participate by reading the monthly assignment (approximately 60 pages) and sharing a narration (written, oral, or video, any length) before the meeting. Our gathering is open to all women of all religions and backgrounds and welcomes the sharing of individual beliefs in a supportive and respectful environment.
Monthly meetings will consist of 1. a time to share our individual mother culture pursuits, 2. a video or presentation on a relevant topic, 3. discussion of the reading for the month, and 4. time for food, fellowship, and support. Please come and join us in creating a Common Place!
